We are excited to announce we have been recognised with The King’s Award for Voluntary Service for 2025, the highest honour given to volunteer groups in the UK. The announcement was made on Friday 14th November, The King’s Birthday.

We develop members skills, confidence, support structures and aspirations through fun and sociable activities. We work with our members to challenge the status quo and to be a catalyst for improvement in their own quality of life through various advocacy work.
These people have changed my life forever. Thank you for being the best group ever. I have done so much with Active8 that I would never have done if it wasn’t for them. I would be in a different place if I hadn't joined this group
